I'm leaving on a short holiday, and won’t be back until the end of this week. I thought I would post some casual outfits. Today I went and got crepes for lunch, so yummy. I found this coffee shop last week that makes the best Chai's in town. Expect new posts this weekend! Thanks everyone for the continual nice comments. :)

I've been meaning to post these pictures. I wore this outfit last week. I'm trying to cover up a huge sunburn on my leg, which explains the pose! This summer I've been at the beach 24/7, even at night. Last night I went star gazing, it was so amazing. I don't want summer to end! I really need to post more casual outfits...I feel like I don't post enough. Yesterday I bought oversized cat eye sunglasses they are a cream color. I hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Quirks

Finally some time to sit down and focus on my blog! I thought I would do a post about my favorite accessories. I love a hint of vintage in any outfit. Always trying to pull inspiration from the past and make it somewhat updated. I've been very keen on rose budded heels lately. Ever since I bought my first pair at Aldo on sale for $15 I have been unconsciously purchasing more rose detailed shoes.

From left to right: BCBGgirls, Local Store, Aldo.

Vintage shoes are the best but it's hard to find a pair that fits properly. The gold shoes (Polly of California) are from the 60s, and the red heels (Mr. Easton) are from the 50s.

Vintage clutches add a "special touch" to any outfit. The purple clutch I picked up at a thrift store. The yellow, and silver clutch are from a consignment store. Speaking of which, the yellow lace bag has its original tags still on it with of the price of $3.98. Do you think I should keep the tags on it? The silver clutch has a leaf clasp, which is basically why I bought it because I love little details!

Brooches are so multi-functional! Use them as a pendant, pin on a sweater, purse, or use them as a hair accessory. All of the brooches above are from my Grandmother except the umbrella one which was a present from a vintage boutique.

Bright Copper Kettles

Here are some inspiration boards I put together a couple months ago, which I tried to incorporate a few of my favorite things in each one. Sorry for the lack of posts! Life has been busy, and complicated lately. On the side note, I picked up a lovely 50's sundress yesterday, but I need to get it tailored in a few areas (in times like this I'm glad I have a Grandma who tailors wonderfully). Stay tuned for its debut hopefully by next week. :)

Lemon Tart

I'm so happy that I finally got to wear this lacey yellow dress today. I got it at an antique store for $8, which is a total steal. I think it's a junior dress because of the length, and maybe from the 50s? Not sure only guessing! I love the aldo wood heels but I feel like I'm going to topple over, because they are so high! They are pretty comfortable though.

Cherry Hill

A simple outfit post. I have a love-hate relationship with this blouse. It's not the most flattering top in the world, but I love the delicate sheer polka-dot fabric.

Top and Bag, H&M. Shorts and Cami, Dont Remember. Sandals, Roxy. Bangles, Vintage and F21.

Bows and Roses

My Aldo shoes arrived. They fit perfect! Wooden heels are just amazing. Ooohh, and the gloves. My Grandmother found these in her laundry room of all places. I guess someone gave them to her a long time ago because they wanted to get rid of them, funny. The pearl and crystal bows are so charming. A huge thanks goes to my Grandma for sending these lovely gloves to me :)
